The ability to upload, update, write, publish and manipulate content using a friendly, easy to use interface and online system.
A Content Management System (often referred to as a CMS) is a system which provides website owners with the ability to maintain the content of their website. Content Management Systems allow content such as copy, images, videos and products to be added, edited and deleted via a user friendly interface which requires no coding knowledge. Information input via the CMS will be stored in databases and served out to the relevant pages of the website.

All of the websites we design come with a bespoke, intuitive Content Management System that allows our customers to quickly and easily update the copy and images of any area of their website.
Via the CMS, all websites we develop are also scalable allowing our customers to create any number of additional pages ensuring the site can grow and diversify along with the business. This also helps with the longevity of the website meaning the initial investment cost can be written off over a longer period of time.
Typical examples of some fairly standard functions that would be controlled in the CMS would be Blogs, Photo and Video Galleries, FAQ’s, Products, Services, Testimonials, Case Studies, Links, Special Promotions or Availability Calendars.
As every website we build is unique to that particular customer, so is the CMS they use to manage the content of their site. This means that each website also requires the development of its own unique CMS, and by offering this the customer is not faced with irrelevant and unrelated editing options every time they log in to update their site.
Access to the online CMS can be from any device that has internet connection anywhere in the world, and is accessible via a secure username and password.
Within the CMS a site administrator can add any number of additional user accounts who can access the system via their own unique login details. Users can also be assigned to specific administration levels to limit the areas they can access and manage.
All logins and alterations carried out by any user is tracked and can be viewed by the administrators of the site via the CMS audit trail which displays who has logged in and when, as well as what actions they have taken.
Our content management systems are extremely intuitive, but to ensure our customers understand them fully, at the website handover meeting we carry out a training session of the content management system, which is based on the bespoke step-by-step user guide that we produce.
We find that customers who use their content management systems regularly very rarely need to contact us for help. However those who use it infrequently do on occasions forget how to use it and we would always therefore recommend contacting us first, as what may take half an hour to recall will only take us moments to remind them.
