Cherrypicked Weddings

Already an existing customer of ours with a different business, we were asked to quote for a new business idea based on the promotion of a limited number of handpicked wedding suppliers.

The project included creating the overall brand as well as the website and after having been awarded the contract, we worked closely with the customer to ensure we met the requirements of their brand brief.

The website brief was to produce a very minimalistic but easy to navigate site, ensuring visitors to the site can quickly and easily find suppliers based on their choice of wedding service.

Whilst the website will initially target Hertfordshire, it was important for it to have the ability to expand into other counties in the future.

We initially provided a number of logo concepts based on the branding brief provided. Once the brand identity had been approved, which included the logo, font styles, colours and overall styling requirements, we got to work on the design and layout of the website.

Having created the branding elements ourselves and have been provided with a fairly tight project brief, the overall website layout became a reasonably simple process and the design was quickly signed off.

To ensure visitors to the website are able to find suppliers quickly and efficiently, we built a quick search facility for the home page. On the suppliers page we added a filter feature enabling website visitors to view suppliers from multiple categories and styles at once.

Via the Content Management System (CMS), Cherrypicked Weddings are able to create new Counties, Supplier Categories and individual pages for each supplier. On each of the supplier pages there is the ability to provide more detailed information about the supplier as well as price guides, photo galleries and direct contact form.

In order to provide a little more general wedding related information and to help improve the Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) of the website, we added a blog facility with a category filter.
