Virgin rolls out 50mb internet in Hertfordshire

Virgin Media who famously announced the fastest consumer Internet service in the UK are starting their rollout of service in Hertfordshire. At the start, the 50mb service was only available in certain areas where the technology upgrades had been completed. While most of Hertfordshire is still not covered at present, the rollout during 2009 should see all Virgin cabled towns supporting the 50Mb service.

Virgin Media is also expected to announce an astonishing 150mb service next year. As heighted previously in our news, the need for faster internet speeds is a must especially with an increase of High Definition streaming services.
