The browser market share is more diverse than ever with Google Chrome now slowly creeping up to that of Firefox at 24% of worldwide market share. IE is still holding a steady 54% according to web statistics. It should be noted that usage of the various web browsers can vary from country to country. In the UK the adoption of Chrome seems to be almost on par with Firefox.
Wikipedia has removed it’s site from use today in opposition to new laws being debated in US congress. The move took place at 5am this morning and simply replaces all content with a black page.
The giant software firm is celebrating the end of its once popular although heavily criticised web browser. Last month the usage fell below 1% and is now considered as being end of usage. Many users are now upgrading to IE8 or IE9 or even switching platforms to Chrome or Firefox.

According to reports, Christmas sales for online retailers are up 20% over the same period last year. It comes as news of the high street shows a bit of slowdown in November compared to October. As more and more people order line, sales will look to continue.
