Microsoft ditches Flash in Windows 8 for tablets

Windows 8 this week saw its first public demonstration release with Microsoft offering the download of their latest operating system online. The new OS shows off it's amazing Tile feature especially designed for touch screen devices in mind. One of the biggest announcements though is Microsoft's decision to drop support for Flash in its mobile version of the OS. The company like Apple is focusing on HTML5 for the future.

For the desktop version of the new operating system, Flash will still be supporting. Flash is ever losing the market share for websites due to factors such as poor SEO performance and lack of iPhone support. Advanced Web Designs has distanced itself from pure Flash websites and our decision has proven to be a great one. The future is HTML5 and the level of interactivity it offers.
