Bandwidth  
Bandwidth refers to the amount of computer data can be sent and received from a web site. Every time a user visits a web site and loads the text, images and/or multimedia content they are using the site's bandwidth. In terms of hosting bandwidth is usually measured on a monthly basis. You will be allocated a set number of bandwidth usages per month. Web sites that attract a lot visits will use more bandwidth than a web site that doesn't get as many visits.
Broadband  
Broadband is very simply a faster way of connecting to the internet when compared to dial up. The service is now available to most areas of the country and is offered by many Internet Service Providers.
Domain Name  
A domain name is the address where people can type your chosen name into their web browser to access your website. This can either be your company name or any other chosen name as long as it is not in use by somebody else.
Dynamic  
Dynamic refers to a web site where the content changes depending on viewer conditions. Dynamic web sites offer interactivity, up to date information, unrivalled flexibility and customisation to the user.
HTML  
HTML (HyperText Markup Language) is a computer language and the basic building language of Websites. It is a relatively simple language but quite powerful when used to it’s full potential. It is constantly undergoing revision and evolution to meet the demands and requirements of the growing Internet usage.
  Overall Design HyperText is the method by which you move around on the web - by clicking on special text called hyperlinks which bring you to the next page.
  Functionality Markup is what HTML tags do to the text inside them.
  Navigation HTML is a Language, as it has code-words and syntax like any other language.
ISP  
An Internet service provider (ISP) is a company that offers its customer’s access to the Word Wide Web (the Internet). The ISP connects its customers to the internet using data transmission technology such as dial-up or DS (broadband). ISP's include, BT, SKY, VIRGIN, AOL,
Javascript  
Javascript is a programming language used in web sites to allow for extended functionality in addition to the use of HTML, PHP and MySQL. Combining this technology into your website
MySQL  
MySQL is the leading database software platform used in dynamic web sites. MySQL uses SQL (Structured Query Language) to retrieve, edit and add information to the database.
PHP
PHP is the name of the most popular programming language used to create dynamic content for web sites. PHP has a number of different functionalities but the most common being its ability to interact with MySQL databases. Using this language virtually anything is possible in creating a unique and diverse website for your business. PHP is a Server Side Programming Language
Screen Resolution  
Screen resolution is not the screen size and can be altered to suit your personal preference. Typical screen resolutions are set to 1024x768 or 800x600, with the most common size now being 1024x768 representing the width and depth of the viewing area in pixels.
Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)  
Search Engine Optimisation is the name given to the process carried out to either a new or existing website to enhance the organic listings on search engines such as Google, Yahoo, Ask, MSN and AOL.

The better your website is optimised, the greater the chances are that it will be listed on search engines. The higher in the ranking your website is listed, the more visitors your website will receive and the more business you will do.

Server Side Programming  
Server Side Programming is program code that runs on the server instead of on the user’s computer. This means that apart from a web browser, there is no need for any specialist software to be installed on your computer to run the code. Server Side Programming mean that you can reach all your users without having to worry about compatibility.
Web Broswer  
A Web browser is a programme which enables a user to display and interact with websites. Web browsers allow a user to quickly and easily access information provided on websites. Web browsers format HTML (and other web languages) information for display, so the appearance of a website may differ between browsers.

The most popular web browsers include: Internet Explorer, Firefox, Netscape, Opera, Chrome and Safari
Web Space/Hosting  
This is the physical amount of space on a server that is allocated to hold the files that make up a website and in most cases is limited to a set amount, which if required can be extended.
